Obii Okweluwe

Obii Okwelume was born in Port Harcourt. He obtained a Doctorate degree in African Studies (Media) at the Centre of West African Studies in the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, where he won the RE Bradbury Prize in 2010 for the Best Thesis in the School of History and Cultures. Obii Okwelume also received an award from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in 2001 for his contributions to literature. He has directed plays in Port Harcourt, Abuja and London. He currently spends his time as a writer and journalist, and lives with his family in Canada.
